Diagnosis Using 3D X-Ray

Diagnosis in dentistry is often complicated by the fact that the doctor cannot see the oral cavity or an individual tooth from all the detailed angles needed for accurate assessment.
To obtain an accurate picture of the condition of the teeth, instrumental examination methods are used, allowing the dentist to see what is not visible during a regular visual inspection.

Modern dental technologies are constantly improving. In addition to the traditional intraoral X-ray and orthopantomogram, 3D dental imaging has been introduced. This is an advanced diagnostic method that enables the specialist to view a detailed image of the jaw from various projections and at any angle. A 3D examination provides a comprehensive image of the oral cavity, allowing for thorough evaluation of the teeth for possible pathologies and assessment of the overall condition of the bone tissue.
Indications for a 3D X-Ray:
  • to study abnormal structures of the jaws and individual teeth;
  • to identify unerupted teeth;
  • to detect injuries and fractures;
  • to assess bone condition before implant placement;
  • to diagnose inflammation in soft tissues, canals, and tooth roots;
  • to evaluate treatment quality, including after implantation;
  • when a tumor or abnormal growth is suspected;
  • before the removal of a complex tooth.
